Over 340,000 visitors turned up to watch the nation’s most magnificent flying machines in Lowestoft this weekend, with many more choosing to take up their position along Pakefield beach and clifftops. The 16th annual Lowestoft Air Show saw more than 40 aircraft take to the skies for some death-defying displays of aerobatic skill.
The spectators along Pakefield beach were treated to biplanes, prop planes and jets, leaving plane-spotters in heaven, while the thrill and spectacle of the Red Arrows united the crowd. Despite rain on Saturday, and some overcast skies, the air show was a huge success, with hundreds of thousands of happy attendees.
